All candidates will receive a Statement of Results five to seven weeks after sitting the exam. These are available on-line from the candidate support website, or are issued by the centre where they took the exam. Certificates are issued within three months of sitting the exam.

The Statement of Results gives information about individual paper performance and a new overall score as well as the overall grade (YLE candidates do not get an overall grade).

Individual paper performance is not provided for those candidates with grade X (absent from part of the examination), grade Z (absent from all of the examination), or PENDING (result to follow).

If a school or candidate believes that a result is incorrect, they can request a Results Enquiry. This must be submitted through the centre where they took the exam.

Candidates’ answers and other work done by candidates as part of an examination will not be released to candidates, schools or centres.

Updated Statements of Results

Candidates' Statements of Results for most Cambridge ESOL exams now include a score out of 100 for the exam as a whole, as well as their grade and the graphical profile of performance in each paper. This gives them more precise information than has previously been available, and will help centres and schools to get a more accurate picture of the overall performance of their students. We have prepared the following fact sheets for candidates:

A score out of 100 will also be provided for KET, PET, KET for Schools and PET for Schools and BEC examinations from the March 2009 sessions. ILEC and ICFE will follow in May 2009.
