Thousands more students in Vietnam benefit from Cambridge English language Certificates
8 December 2008
University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and the Department of Education and Training (DOET) in Ho Chi Minh City today celebrate two years of offering students the opportunity to improve their English language skills. This successful collaboration has meant gaining access to internationally recognised English Language certificates in the country has never been more straightforward.
To review their combined achievements and plan ways of moving forward – Cambridge ESOL and DOET Ho Chi Minh City are hosting a celebratory event on 8 December. This will be attended by a range of key parties including Principals from state schools and senior staff from language schools.
Sean Hayde, Assistant Director at Cambridge ESOL welcomed this celebration:
“This will be a great opportunity for us to report back on our successful work with DOET. Thanks to this initiative, we have helped improve the English language skills of thousands of students in Ho Chi Minh City who now have a certificate that really matters. We look forward to continuing this work in the future. We have been very impressed with DOET's commitment to increasing the level of English in Ho Chi Minh City, and we would like to congratulate all of the candidates who have passed the exams in the last two years they and their parents should be very proud of their achievement ”
