Cambridge ESOL launch global business English competition

Cambridge ESOL is pleased to launch a new Business English Teaching and Technology competition aiming to find fresh and innovative ideas on how technology can be brought into the business English classroom.The Business English Certificate (BEC) competition was officially launched on 1 May and is open to teachers of Business English from all over the world.

Entrants are invited to submit an idea in 500 words on how technology can be used to teach a business English activity and two lucky winners will be presented with a two-week residential Teacher Development Course in Cambridge this summer.

Deshini Chetty - Global Manager for Workplace Assessment at Cambridge ESOL welcomes this competition:

“This type of creative challenge is an excellent opportunity for teachers around the world to show just how innovative they can be in the business English classroom. We’re always interested to hear about how fresh approaches to teaching can inspire students to learn skills that will benefit them in their working lives.”

All entries must be submitted by 30th June 2009.

The BEC qualifications are part of a series of Cambridge ESOL certificates aimed at the world of work.
