4th Cambridge Assessment Conference - register now

Public policy experts, educationalists and assessment specialists will debate Issues of control and innovation: the role of the state in assessment system at the 4th Cambridge Assessment Conference on 19th October 2009 at Robinson College, Cambridge. Hosted by the Cambridge Assessment Network, this is a timely topic for debate as the Bill to deliver Ofqual, a new regulator of qualifications, is currently going through UK Parliament.

 

Keynote speakers include: Professor Alison Wolf, Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management, King’s College London, and Professor Robin Alexander, Fellow of Wolfson College at the University of Cambridge.  Experts including: Professor Mary James, Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge; Isabel Nesbit, Ofqual; and Dr John Allan, SQA; will lead a series of seminars on the day.

Leaders from many areas within education are invited to attend, including senior managers from schools, colleges and universities, as well as those working for national and local education bodies, professional organisations, political parties, the media, awarding bodies and employers’ organisations.

The conference fee of £180 includes lunch, refreshments and access to keynote and seminar sessions.
