Charles University in Prague - ALTE's latest member

ALTE is delighted to announce that Charles University in Prague is now a Member of ALTE, bringing the total number of members to 32. With this latest addition of the Czech language, the number of languages now represented by members of the association is 27.
Founded in 1348, Charles University in Prague is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Among its 17 faculties and additional university institutes, the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies (ILPS) plays a leading role in the teaching and testing Czech for foreigners, and offers Czech Language Certification Examinations (CCE) at four levels - A1/A2/B1/B2.

The Charles University in Prague will host the ALTE Meeting and Conference in November 2010. The event will take place from 10-12 November 2010 and will be preceded by a two-day testing course. Further details of the theme of the conference and the area covered by the testing course will be available in the new year.
